Deliverability best practices

Improve sender reputation, inbox placement, and email performance with a real, actionable checklist.

Reaching the inbox consistently requires more than a connected sender. Domain authentication, sending cadence, list quality, and ongoing reputation monitoring all play a role. Use the checklist below to build a sending setup that protects long-term deliverability and keeps your campaigns performing at their best.

Recommended production setup

  • Connect Gmail (app password) or Outlook (OAuth), whichever mailbox you're actually sending from.
  • Add and verify a custom sending domain.
  • Complete DNS authentication — set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records (Stynar generates the exact values).
  • Connect Google Postmaster Tools to monitor Gmail reputation.
  • Ramp up new domains or mailboxes gradually — use Gradual Send at the campaign's Schedule step instead of blasting full volume on day one.
  • Monitor domain reputation and spam rates on a regular cadence.
  • Reconnect any disconnected accounts immediately to avoid campaign pauses.
  • Review campaign failures and pause reasons to catch delivery issues early.
  • Use clean, validated lead lists — remove invalid addresses before importing.
  • Avoid sending high volumes from a domain or mailbox that's brand new.
  • Enable reply sync so replies land in your real inbox for the most personal experience.

The highest-performing setup

The strongest inbox placement comes from combining a verified custom domain, a gradually-ramped sending volume, complete DNS authentication, active Google Postmaster monitoring, and reply sync enabled on every connected account. Together, these signals build the kind of sender trust that keeps your emails out of spam — consistently.
